Vopak Terquimsa, a leading logistics company in the Western Mediterranean, and which is developing a digitalization plan in the face of the new needs and growing technological demands of the XXI century, takes a step forward in the management of cyber security in industry 4.0.

The explosion of connectivity, artificial intelligence or the profound change in the global industrial sector reaffirm the commitment of Vopak Terquimsa to ensure cybersecurity. A responsibility as a company -which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary- and that within the digital transformation that we are experiencing as a sector, has as a priority, guaranteeing the security of information in all its processes.

For this reason, Vopak Terquimsa, has obtained the certification by the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR) of the ISO/IEC 27001:2014 standard, the standard that defines the best practices for security management systems of the information.

Eduardo Sañudo, CEO of Vopak Terquimsa, assures that “due to the nature of our activity, guaranteeing the integrity of our information systems is something critical. Cybersecurity has always been a maxim for us and we work with systems and procedures that must guarantee protection against cyberattacks, in addition to avoiding any security breach at the business level ”.

ISO/IEC 27001:2014, internationally recognized, provides a framework to increase the resilience capacity of our organization, giving an effective response and safeguarding the interests of the main stakeholders, reputation, brand, as well as its processes and activities critics. Obtaining this certification guarantees a continuous review of the stipulated risks and controls and with them the security of the information and the services provided.
