The participants in Med Hub Day 2020 have analyzed for two days the keys to the future of the petrochemical sector.

Vopak Terquimsa has participated in the ‘Terminal Panel’. At the round table, Eduardo Sañudo, CEO of the company, shared his vision with representatives from Tepsa, GADOT Belgium and Rubis Terminal. In it, interesting points of view were offered on the role in HUB strategies, highlighting key aspects in its implementation: good connectivity with the interior, good port infrastructures and a combination of HUB operations with powerful local consumption linked to the strong presence industrial in the ChemMed cluster.

The analysis of the different experts has exposed the challenges that ports face in terms of adaptation and storage capacity that the market has already begun to demand of them. At the same time, the path towards a new model has been indicated by port infrastructures to adapt to major changes to converge with a more sustainable business model.
